Thankful Tuesday

I'm declaring today Thankful Tuesday!!

If you want to play, reply either in the comments or on your own blog with things that YOU are thankful for today. As many as you like! As you can see from my list, they don't need to be the usual things. :)

I'm thankful for:

1. My family. (Okay, that is a usual thing. But I AM!)
2. Public radio.
3. Salt & vinegar potato chips.
4. My gargoyle mascot guy, who's sitting beside me now, eyes lit.
5. John Denver, the early songs.
6. The moment when you look at a picture you took, or a sentence you wrote, and you LOVE IT.
7. Mountains.
8. New books.
9. Hugs.
10. The voices in my head. (No, not like that. CHARACTERS.)

Anyone wanna play? It does have a cheering effect. :)

Since I don't have a blog, I'm playing on yours. [g]

1. Family
2. Friends, especially ones that rock (and all mine do :))
3. The fact that Eric cooks for me.
4. Really cute peep-toe pumps.
5. Writing - when it works, and even when it doesn't.
6. A good belly laugh.
7. Sitting on the couch with a cat curled up in my lap.
8. A nice glass merlot on a warm spring day.
9. The Internet, so I's can hangs with my peeps-from-far-away.
10. Authors who've given me such good books to read.

Oh, good one, and perfect timing, too. I was just talking to my son and feeling thankful (see #1).

1. A son who calls from college just to chat, and doesn't even ask for money. {g}

2. A daughter and son-in-law who will soon be moving back to within driving distance.

3. A husband who likes to cook, and also encourages me with my writing.

4. Chocolate.

5. A cat that shows up almost every day to sit on my lap and purr.

6. Good friends who are supportive, but who also know how to deliver a good, swift kick in the pants when I need it.

7. Hot water. (Good for baths, and for tea.)

8. Online dictionaries.

9. Manhattans with two cherries.

10. Plot twists that come to me as I'm falling asleep.

Amy: The scene is more important than the list. Get to it! :)

Julie and Linda: I love your lists. Thanks! (especially the kick in the pants part. {EG})

Hi Susan
thanks for this fun game.
I finished my ten pages today so I can play. In no particular order:

1 finding friends on facebook
2 a soft bed after a really long drive
3 comfort food: currently it's dark chocolate almond bark.
4 having written something intentionally funny that makes my sons laugh.
5. reading something really funny on somebody's blog. If you haven't read Colleen Lindsay's blog recently check out yesterday's post. ROTFL
6. cats with paws over eyes and ditto for that adorable space between their ears
7. caring support from my spouse
8. the kids making dinner
9. unexpected cash
10. somebody wanting to read what I write.

Janet:

Ooooh, excellent list. When I come to NYC, I want to visit the Met with YOU. :)

we shall gaze upon Caravaggio, drink wine with Rembrandt, (and most likely get our asses kicked by the guards!) and then loll around in the Temple of Dendur.

I love the Met, I do!
